Hi there,
My name is Aref and I live in the beautiful and vibrant city of Toronto, Canada. When I am not enjoying spending time with my daughter and wife, I enjoy photography and reading. Photography also encourages me to explore new places and meet people.
My background lies in Physics and Mathematics but it was Computer Science and Information Technology that sparked the passion in me. Maybe it is the early gratification that comes from the first preview of the results of your labor. In any case, I enjoy technology in general. I started my computer science journey as a database administrator administrating Oracle, Sybase and the first release of SQL Server for a foreign exchange company in the San Francisco Bay area. Since then, I have worked in exiting vertical industries such as Financial Services, Banking, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Transportation.
Over time, I have come to enjoy working with the .NET Framework and am especially interested in the mid-tier framework offerings such as WF, WCF. Recently I started exploring MVC, mostly as a quick way to build out interfaces for human activity with WF and much to my delight, found it to be a very engaging, clean and powerful way to build out user interfaces and have it interact with the (workflow) service tier. I look forward to sharing my journey with you. Hopefully, I will find time to keep this blog alive as time goes on.
I currently work as a Senior Enterprise Architect for a global bank in the Greater Toronto region.
Thank you for visiting me, and I look forward to many more visits from you in the future.
Take care and be well.
- Aref
